The Rambagh Golf Club is part of the elite Rambagh Palace Hotel which was the residence of the former maharaja. This historic golf club is one of the oldest golf clubs in India. It was founded by Rajmata Gayatri Devi who also serves as the captain of the club. Founded in 1944, this prestigious golf club is affiliated with the Indian Golf Union.
The Rambagh Golf Club is an 18 hole championship course which offers a PAR 72. The course can be played throughout the entire year and its central location provides easy access from anywhere in the area. The fairway of the course goes through the Rambagh Polo Grounds where some of the greatest polo matches have been held.
The Rambagh Golf Course offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the area. There are places that overlook the beautiful Rambagh Palace Hotel and the historic Fort Nahargarh. The course is beautifully landscaped to compliment the surrounding natural beauty of the area. The greens are maintained on a regular basis and the fairways are always lush and green. The course has been redesigned to meet USGA specifications. This transformation was done by Col S S Hara who is a highly experienced national golfer. Under his direction the course was made into a world class course.
The golf facilities include changing rooms, a Pro Shop, golf tuition, caddies, and a practice and driving range. The best conditions for the golfer are in the winter months. All of the holes have been changed from browns to greens and are maintained regularly. The club is located in Jaipur, which is known as the Pink City, and is a part of the Rambagh Palace Hotel. It is only about fifteen minutes to the International Airport. The course area provides one with beautiful scenery such as Gayatri Devi’s Palace.
