The Noida Golf Club was founded in 1989 and is open the year round. It is an 18 hole PAR 72 course. This course has recently been developed to championship level and offers great greens and fairways. The sixteenth hole is a PAR 3, 245 yard long hole which requires great skill, even for the best of players. The Noida Golf Course has recently been remodeled to meet USGA specifications.
The Noida Golf Course has its own history which dates back to the British time. Part of the course is located on the grounds where the Battle of Delhi was fought. The course itself presents a number of water challenges because of a water drain which traces through the fairways. Hole seven has a big lake which makes teeing off on number seven a tricky challenge.
The Noida Golf Club has all of the facilities to fill your needs. There are separate changing rooms for the men and women, a restaurant, bar, rummy room, bridge room, and a place to play billiards. Overnight accommodations can be found nearby in the city.
The township of Noida has been well planned to maintain pollution free parks and open spaces. The area offers many recreational facilities which appeal to everyone. There are parks and playgrounds, sports complexes, and major green areas. For the family visiting there you will find something for everyone to enjoy.
The last few years have seen major development to the area which include a sports stadium and sports complex. There are currently entertainment facilities and shopping malls which are being developed. Plans are currently under way to build a five star hotel, a health resort, and a Disneyland Amusement park. Planners feel these additions will draw more tourism to the area and provide entertainment for everyone, whether they play golf or not.
While the golfer in the family is out enjoying the beautiful Noida Golf Course, the other members of the family can enjoy the amusement parks or the sports complex which is slated to have a water sports park. Visitors to the course will also have access to caddies and golfing instruction. The swimming pool is also available to the club members.
