The Aravalli Golf Club is located in Faridabad, Haryana and currently offers 9 holes. Plans are being made to upgrade to 18 holes in the near future, however, you can currently play the 9 holes twice for an 18 hole course. Built by Joseph Allan Stein in 1966, it was given to Haryana in 1988 to be used as a tourist attraction. The course gets its name for the Aravalli Mountains which have been around for 20 million years.
The Aravalli Golf course was designed by Stephen Kay who was a famous golf architect from the United States. The club features a provision for billiards, 6 luxurious rooms, and a committee room. Golf lovers can stay the night and play on the golf course in the morning. This lush, green golf course rambles over 45 acres and has an 18 hole facility if you play the 9 hole twice.
The Aravalli Golf Club also features a club house which has a restaurant for those who want to take a break before returning to their golf game. The club house also has a card room for those who would like to play a game or two of cards. There are cottages which are available for rent for those who would like to stay a few days. There are also catering facilities available to meet all of your needs. If you want to spend the evening relaxing in the cottage, the caterer will gladly bring you your evening meal so you can get rested up for the following day of golf.
Stephen Kay, the architect who designed the course, firmly believed that the game of golf should allow everyone to have fun. His golf course design presents a challenge to skilled golfers but it is also user friendly to the less skilled players. The tropical green terrain offers elevations which are suitable for the world class golfer and still allow the novice to have fun too.
The club offers several different membership packages which should suit anyone looking for a golf club membership. They offer corporate memberships, student memberships, government employee memberships, weekend memberships, and life memberships. Caddies are available for 9, 13, and 18 holes. The club also caters to tourists who are visiting in the area.
